It rained for five days. All week long, staring at the dreary gray skies (at least we don’t have any snow and our plants are always green…)
We worried at first that our event would get rained out. But, as luck would have it, on Saturday the deluge stopped.
By Sunday, we were ready to PARRR-TAY!!
InterMarine Boats hosted a Memorial Day Luau at the Jupiter Sandbar on May 26, 2013 which featured live music by Mighty Quinn. We set them up on the flybridge of a beautiful Prestige 500, where they played a lively set of classic rock songs mixed in with some recognizable alternative tunes and some country (they even played Sublime and The Toadies… what more could you ask for…).
The sandbar was full of families, children, 20-somethings, friendly pets, and BOATS. Skiffs, yachts bowriders, outboards, kayaks, and just about anything else that floats could be found among the happy crowd. InterMarine gave out leis to all the ladies and GM Rick DuBois made his famous fruit punch (there’s not a lot of fruit in it). To top it all off, a group of partiers started a dance-off… we believe the winner was the champ who did all those belly-flops!
All in all this event was a lot of fun. We thank everyone who came out and helped us set up, those who came to support us, and everyone who came out just to have a good time. We couldn’t have done it without you.
